Arietta M. (Cary) Dice, 107, of Liverpool, died January 11, 2016. She was born in Waterloo, NY. Her family moved to Syracuse from Fleming, NY in 1918.
Mrs. Dice was a member of Comfort Tyler Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, past Matron of Hiawatha Chapter # 763 Order of the Eastern Star in 1961 and a member of Boni Fide Hiawatha Solvay Chapter O.E.S.. Mrs. Dice served as Grand Representative to the State of Oklahoma in 1976 & 1977, for the O.E.S. of the State of New York. She was a member of St. Stephen's Senior Fellowship and past Grand Barde of New York States German Order of Harugari in 1953. She retired from Sears & Roebuck in 1973. She attended Salina School and was a graduate of Vocational High School.
Mrs. Dice's husband of 66 years, Harry, passed away in 1995.
She is survived by her nieces, Barbara (Glenn) Sotherden of Clay, Maureen Wilber of Saratoga Springs, Dolores Heaney of Fayetteville and a nephew, Reuben Cary of Syracuse. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 AM in Sears Middleton Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 3 to 7 pm at the funeral home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to DAR or the Eastern Star Home. Please leave a condolence to the family at searsmiddletonjones.com
